Liz Landray for South Central Ward
Hi I’m Liz Landray. I’m a passionate resident of Darebin, dedicated to putting community needs first.

With over a decade of experience as a Community Development Officer in local government , I’ve designed and maintained programs to enhance access, equity, and educational opportunities for residents.
Our vibrant and diverse community has so much to offer, and I am committed to expanding green spaces, creating walkable neighbourhoods, and ensuring local support services for our vulnerable members.
I moved to Thornbury 18 years ago to be a live-in carer for my ageing mum. This experience has deepened my appreciation for the essential, often invisible role of carers and the complexities involved in accessing support for our older community members.
Music is a significant part of my life. I hold a postgraduate degree in Music Technology from La Trobe University.

In 1996, post Darebin Council amalgamations, I established the Darebin Music Feast to showcase and celebrate the diversity of local music throughout Darebin and to establish the Northcote Town Hall as a high-quality and accessible local venue.

I have actively participated as a Darebin Council advisory committee member and raised awareness of the importance of local liveability, creative opportunities and inclusivity for all.
In 2015, I was appointed to the Victorian Local Governance Association’s (VLGA) Rainbow Working Group.
Together, we can build a dynamic council that addresses today’s challenges and paves the way for a sustainable future.
